“Aspöck is an ambitious, family-style company. It offers possibilities for further development, and an excellent company atmosphere.”
Tell us about your previous career path at Aspöck Systems - and what prior experience you have brought with you!
“After my completed training at the HTL in company IT (Technical College) and military service, I started my career at Aspöck in the year 2004 as an employee in the 24 V Sales Department. I now head the Supply Chain Management Team, and hold the position of SAP Key User in Sales & Distribution and Production Planning.”
Which tasks does your job comprise, and which important characteristics do you need for your field of activity?
“In my job, I deal with the processing of the customer-specific orders, the planning of purchased parts and the planning and control of the production, and the dispatch for the Peuerbach and Poland locations. The Supply Chain Management Team is an interface between Sales, Purchasing, Production and Logistics.
In addition to heading this department, I am responsible in Peuerbach and Poland for the SAP modules SD & PP, and act as the contact person for our subsidiary in Great Britain with regard to SAP B1.
As leam leader, it is important to bring a sense of responsibility with you and to act as a role model with analytical and structured working methods. Specialist know-how, team-orientated thinking and a high level of resilience are important characteristics for this role. English is essential in our company for international communications."
Why do you work at Aspöck Systems, and which tips do you have for newcomers to the company?
“I think it is fun to work at Aspöck Systems, above all because of the good company atmosphere prevailing in this large but family-style company. I enjoy being involved in this ambitious firm.
The diverse range of tasks is an interesting challenge. Over the past years, Aspöck has increasingly developed to become an international company. The daily contact with colleagues from across Europe improves your cultural and linguistic competences.
My tip for all newcomers:
You should have knowledge of English, but you don’t necessarily have to be perfect in the language - the most important skills are courage and readiness to communicate."
