Madeleine - the plastics engineer14. 06. 2021
Madeleine is a determined young lady who has ventured into the world of technology, which is no longer so male-dominated, and discovered an apprenticeship as a plastics engineer. For us, it is an absolute must to train apprentices in this topic. “The apprenticeship around the production and finishing of plastic articles is very challenging, but also very diverse,” she says. Operating computer-controlled machines is of course no longer a problem for Madeleine, in her third year of training. And she especially enjoys it when she can pass on her knowledge and train new colleagues.
Madeleine is a very successful student at the school in Steyr. Almost a third of her classmates are already girls. In addition to the many technical aspects of such an apprenticeship, Madeleine perfectly summed up why she would choose an apprenticeship again on her training path: "I've learned to stand by myself and trust myself!" In other words, an apprenticeship is the perfect school for life.
